Testifire XTR2 Testing Kit for Smoke & Heat Detectors (9m Reach)

The Testifire XTR2 is a high-performance solution for functional testing of heat and smoke sensors, enabling height-safe operation for detectors positioned up click here to 9 metres high.

This integrated testing kit enhances compliance and maintenance procedures by combining smoke and heat testing in a single unit with automated digital reporting functions.

Accurate Test Outputs

Using proprietary smoke canisters, the device emits smoke to simulate real fire conditions. Heat tests are adjustable, with options for normal or high heat outputs. These tests emulate fire environments to verify that detectors respond correctly.

Flexible Testing Options

The XTR2 offers users a choice of modes, including:

  • Standard smoke or heat test

  • High heat mode for specialist devices

  • Simultaneous smoke and heat

  • Sequential stimulus tests

  • Delayed activation for hands-free operation

Once activated, the device detects the detector’s LED response and logs whether the test passed. This automatic result capture, while the built-in clearing function removes residual stimuli from the detector.

Digital Reporting & Connectivity

The XTR2 is compatible with a mobile app and cloud platform. Engineers can upload results directly on-site, enabling traceable compliance documentation.

Clients receive audit-friendly reports via download or email, enhancing transparency.

Safe Height Access

The kit includes a multi-section reach pole, capable of testing and removing detector heads from up to 9m. A universal removal tool safely detaches detector units, all without the use of ladders. The provided carry bag keeps the system organised.

Engineer-Friendly Design

Powered by a long-life battery, the unit also includes a LED light to assist with testing in low-light environments. The device is robust, making it suitable for regular use by professionals.

Key Benefits

XTR2 by Testifire enhances efficiency during smoke and heat detector testing. It allows engineers to cover large sites efficiently, while compliance records are easier to maintain. This system offers assurance in fire safety without the need for ladders or manual logging.
